The Rise of Soft Skills in C-Suite Roles

An analysis of 5,000 job descriptions for C-level roles revealed that 'soft' skills and particularly social skills are just as important as technical knowledge, management, and financial acumen.

Companies are looking for "leaders who are adept communicators, relationship builders, and people-oriented problem solvers."

People don't want to feel like cogs in a wheel. They want to bring their unique talents and value to a company and leaders who truly see them.

Empathetic leaders are going to get us there.

If you want to move on to the C-suite, now or in the future, it's going to be even more critical to develop these 'softer' skills and to convey them and your leadership style in your application materials.
