Strategies for Highlighting Achievements on Your Résumé

Almost every résumé I see:

🚩 Isn't specific enough, i.e. could be about anyone in that role.
🚩 Doesn't clearly define strengths.
🚩 Has too many bullets in a row (people will read 3-5 bullet points in a section, max).
🚩 Grossly underestimates the person's potential.
🚩 Doesn't tell the story or provide enough detail about achievements.

If this describes your résumé and you aren't getting interviews for roles you want, you may want to spend some time asking yourself the following questions:

📌 How do I perform my role differently than others I know? What's my unique leadership style?
📌 What are my top strengths and how do I show them?
📌 What do I want my next move to be? Why? How can I show I'm ready for that role?
📌 What are some major wins I've achieved and how did I get us there? How can I tell the story in a concise way?

The more specific, unique-to-you information you have in your résumé, the more you'll stand out from the crowd. It's that simple. (And at the same time, not simple, because it's hard to see ourselves clearly).

🎯Want to partner with someone who gets it, gets you, and can help you unlock additional value and get your foot in the door for exciting opportunities?
