The Power of Dropping 'Co-' from Your Resume Language
This may be an unpopular opinion, but, you don't ever have to use "co-" on your resume. "Co-led, co-managed, etc."
If you and another person led something, you can both use "Led..." you can both use "Managed..."
Feel free to make it clear that you're a great collaborator, that you build strategic partnerships, that you lead teams and manage people well on your resume - but don't constantly feel the need to show that "other people helped too."
Recruiters and hiring managers know that you didn't do this work in a vacuum. But they want to know what your contribution was.
Your resume is about you. What did you do? How did you lead?
It's important to give credit but your resume is not the place. Your resume is where you take credit. (Get comfortable with taking credit. You've done the work.)
Always lead with integrity, but please take credit for what you've done.
You're awesome!
